Introduction

Hi, thanks for stopping by “Hand in Hand in Transition”. Let me just tell you briefly why i set up this blog.

In 2006, I got the opportunity to intern at a Canadian NGO in Sri Lanka. While i was there, I visited a youth development program in the southern part of the country. It’s this program - Youth in Transition Program - and its young participants who inspire me to learn more about contemporary youth issues.

“Hand in Hand in Transition” is therefore created to help me explore the wonder and complexities of young people nowadays, as well as myself. Ultimately, it hopes to gather information about different types of youth programs in the world and present their differences and similarities.

The blog is dedicated to the young people of the Youth in Transition Program in Sri Lanka, as well as everyone who’s interested in or has been working with young people. I’m hoping that one day, my friends in Sri Lanka can come to this site and post their comments :)

I’m currently working on my undergrad thesis on the Youth in Transition Program (YITP). So you will find more postings related to YITP at this moment.

Enjoy!
